The For Sale of Property program protects home purchasers and the community from failures in private sewage systems. This is an optional service provided by Geauga Public Health. The system is inspected by a Geauga Public Health Registered Environmental Health Specialist at the time of the sale to ensure proper operation of the system. This only applies to private household sewage systems, not homes that convey sewage to a central wastewater treatment plant.
