Public Hearing for Operation and Maintenance Program Fee

Consistent with the Ohio Revised Code 3709.09, Geauga Public Health will hold a Public Hearing to hear comments regarding adoption of fees for the Ohio Administrative Code 3701-29 – Household Sewage Treatment Systems.

Please consider attending the public hearing if you would like to discuss the proposed Operation and Maintenance Compliance Inspection Fee of $300.00.

As part of the Operation and Maintenance program, the Health District is obligated to perform compliance inspections if a homeowner does not perform the required maintenance for the system at the house during the permit term.  State law allows the Health District to recoup the cost of the compliance inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to confirm that a public health nuisance does not exist at the property.
